Fashion Show

The first event in the 2024 Uplyft Film Festival was an invitation-only fashion show! It was a tribute to our incredible sponsors, community partners, and non-profit organizations that make the entire festival possible. The goal was to tell the story of non-fashion industry models through clothing and their arts.

Golden Hour

Golden Hour 2024 was an unforgettable experience! This exclusive red-carpet event, tailored for community members aged 65 and over, took place at the Courtyard Marriott Houston Heights. Attendees enjoyed a glamorous afternoon mingling with fellow cinema lovers, followed by a private pre-screening of select shorts. It was a celebration of film, community, and shared passion for storytelling.

Film Showcase

Our film festival was a true celebration of global talent and creativity! We showcased films from around the world, with over 250 art pieces on display. The event also featured a tradeshow and charity zone, 18 captivating short films, and nonprofit organizations sharing their impactful stories. Guests enjoyed Viet coffee, explored more than 40,000 sq. ft. of entertainment, and participated in engaging panel discussions, along with a little yoga to kick off the festivities. With over 300 attendees from the Houston metropolitan area, it was a full-day celebration that truly brought the community together, making it feel like Houston’s creative spirit united in one place.
